Hong Kong and Its Wonders

by Joel Hanes Bongcaron

Hong kong is one of the countries in Asia that has many beautiful and cool tourist spots. Not only that, Foods and services are quiet good and sweet. Spending your vacation in Hong kong is really a dream come true. Let us find out where to go and what to bring while wandering in the country that calls itself “Asia’s World City”.

The very first thing is to check your flight Departure/Arrival date. This will help you make an itinerary on how long your stay in Hongkong will be. Secondly, Prepare all necessary things to bring and pack only those very important things because airlines limit their hand carry baggage so you won’t be paying for the excess. I have brought with me 5 Tees and 3 shorts, a slipper, 2 pairs of socks, a small towel, a 20,000 mAH Powerbank (which is allowed in Airline I flew with), my Laptop, Cellphone as camera and of course, my Passport and any supporting documents for travel like booked Hotels, ID’s or Income taxes etcetera.

For Filipinos wanting to visit Hongkong or in any destinations, follow the necessary in presenting to the Philippine immigration because they come to be strict in allowing tourists with not so good documents, Never use any devices or earphones while being interviewed as it happened to me, luckily everything went fine and they approved my travel.

When you arrive in Hongkong, make sure to buy an Octopus card which can be bought in the Airport. You need to pay 150 HKD, 100 will be your initial deposit and you can use it right away in any outlet: Subways, Bus Tickets, taxis, 7-Eleven and many others. When going back home, you can return the card and they will give back your remaining balance. I suggest to take a bus rather than subways if you were on a tight budget.

Here is my Itinerary for 5 nights and 6 days stay in Hong Kong:

DAY 06 – ARRIVAL IN MANILA, PHILIPPINES

There are many places in Hong Kong that I haven’t visited because of my budget, like Ocean Park and Macau. But, I’ll be going back there soon and visit these places.
Always remember to bring with you your Passport whenever you go out for identification and security purposes.

Hope you have a good trip in Hong kong either alone, with friends or family.
